Associate Position

Ridge Runner Veterinary Services is looking for a full-time mixed animal veterinarian to join our team. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced mixed animal veterinarian, but new graduates and large animal veterinarians will be considered. The large animal clientele is primarily equine, although we do see some small ruminants and cattle. There is definitely room to grow both the equine and bovine side of the practice for the interested practitioner. Small animal emergencies are covered by the regional emergency clinic in Brewer.

We have a well-trained support staff made up primarily of licensed technicians. The equipment on site includes an in-house Idexx blood analyzer, digital radiography, portable ultrasound, and flexible endoscope. Large animals are seen both on the road and at the clinic. A fully stocked vehicle will be provided for farm calls.

Winterport is located just south of Bangor on the banks of the Penobscot River. The area provides many opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, from kayaking and skiing to fishing and hiking. Acadia National Park and major ski areas are just a short drive away. The school system is one of the best in the state, and the surrounding cities of Bangor and Belfast have a lot to offer in restaurants and music.
